Jarshire Spares & Servicing facility meets demand

9 June 2008

Jarshire Limited is reporting a significant surge in demand for the repair and servicing facilities offered by its Glasgow-based Spares and Service company. David Jobson, who heads-up the Converting Division, believes that this is down to two factors - the closure of other UK-based repair facilities and the fact that Jarshire can either carry out repairs at the plant or, perhaps more conveniently, at a customer’s factory.

The Glasgow company was established in 1989 and is fully equipped to carry out the repair of any make of air shaft or expanding chuck and also carries an extensive stockholding of parts for all makes of pneumatic and mechanical shafts.

A quick turn round on repairs to Helios & Bilstein knife-holders is offered facilitated by a comprehensive range of blades, gaskets, “O” rings and motors. Electronic, electric and PLC control systems for a variety of Helios slitting systems can also be up-graded and re-programmed if required.

Other services provided by the Glasgow site include the manufacture and servicing of the reliable range of lightweight air shafts that are based on a Svecom design; a full range of spare parts for Nexen/Horton brakes and clutches; and the repair and re-conditioning, not only of Tecnomec3 bowed and spreader rollers, but also the servicing of all other makes of bowed rollers.
