Sappi wins Avery Dennison Supplier Distinction Award for the second time in a row

13 May 2019

The Sappi team was delighted when they heard the results of this year’s Avery Dennison Supplier Distinction Award. Following an award last year, Sappi’s status as a leading supplier was again honoured with this significant award in 2019. “We were recognised for our excellent quality and for being a truly global supplier supporting Avery Dennison’s growth, especially in the USA. And finally, because of our expanded portfolio following the acquisition of Cham Paper Group,” said Thomas Kratochwill, Vice President Sales & Marketing Packaging and Speciality Papers (Sappi Europe).

All the award-winning companies – including Sappi – stood out in four key areas: sustainability, quality, service and growth. This award is not only extremely relevant for the winners, but also for Avery Dennison itself. Garrett Gabel, Vice President, global finance and procurement, Label and Graphic Materials, said: “This is our opportunity to celebrate suppliers from around the world that meet or exceed our standards for customer satisfaction and performance. Thanks to their dedication to the values highlighted in this program, we are able to continue to collaborate, innovate and ultimately grow with our customers.”

Sappi supplies clay coated kraft papers (CCK), glassine papers and face stock label papers to Avery Dennison, a world leader in pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) materials for labels and graphic applications. The platform for this successful collaboration between the two companies is their long-standing, successful business partnership based on trust.
