MAN Roland GB has extended the working hours of its support service to provide full breakdown cover for weekends, and is to expand its service team with the addition of 16 new technicians.
Says managing director Malcolm Pendlebury: "With the number of machine installations that are taking place at the moment it was becoming essential to add to the service team. We anticipate being able to hire the majority of this new in-take of technical personnel within the next few months. New staff will be added at geographical locations throughout the country, and will be employed for both sheet-fed and web service operations.
"The nature of the orders that we have been receiving during the last year has also required us to look at the potential for further alignment of customer demands and customer needs. As a result, we have added a third element to our service cover, providing emergency call-out capability from Friday through to Monday."
