Labelexpo Americas celebrated its 25th anniversary this year with the event's most successful edition. The 2014 show, which closed last week, registered a 12% increase in footfall with 16,029 visitors and achieved an 83% onsite rebooking rate for the next event in 2016.
With more than 440 exhibitors, this year's event in Chicago saw many press launches, such as the HP WS6800 and Xeikon Cheetah digital machiness, Mark Andy's Digital Series hybrid inkjet/flexo system and Nuova Gidue's 5 UV flexo press. New products included point-of-purchase and vulcanisation tyre label portfolios from Avery Dennison, Flint Group's expanded EkoCure UV-LED range, Sun Chemical's new Solaris System and UPM Raflatac's thinner PET film labelstocks.
Labelexpo Americas event director Tasha Ventimiglia comments: "The show's success underlines just how much confidence has returned to the American label and package printing industry. People were there to do serious business and from the feedback we've had, we know many exhibitors have enjoyed healthy sales as well as generating a high volume of good quality sales leads."
