A range of web cleaning solutions for combating dust particles collected during printing, coating and laminating processes are available from Advanced Dynamics. The sticky roller systems are available in sizes to suit applications including narrow web and flexo printing, slot die and hot foil stamping, and film casting.
The equipment lifts dust and contaminates from the web using a rubber roller, which then transfers and traps the particles on an adhesive, 'tacky' roll. An integral static elimination system neutralizes built-up charges to avoid re-contamination. When the adhesive surface becomes fully loaded, the outer layer is simply peeled away to reveal a clean roller.
Contact cleaning products range from the Single Cleaning Head, a compact module that allows cleaning at the critical point of production, to the Slim Line Web Cleaning (available in narrow and wide versions), said to be a cost effective solution with the added feature of side-pull adhesive access.
Advanced Dynamics says the systems are approved for use within the medical, food and pharmaceutical industries.
