23 November 2018

Kenyon Group, an adhesive provider based in Oldham, has been appointed the sole UK distributor for HB Fuller Rakoll adhesive solutions. The move, which will bring significant opportunity for the company, is expected to bring jobs and many new opportunities.

This represents a major move into UK markets which is sure to shake up the woodworking industry. “We were contacted by HB Fuller out of the blue,” stated Ian Kenyon, the managing director of Kenyon Group.

“They were looking for a distributor with experience and understanding of the woodworking adhesives sector. We have almost 40 years in the business.

“This UK distribution deal should be very beneficial for both companies, and not just in terms of opportunity and growth. We plan to partner closely with H.B. Fuller to identify new applications and markets for their Rakoll line.”

The woodworking adhesives market is estimated to be worth up to £100 million in sales within the UK.

“It’s an exciting chapter in our history and we’re expecting to grow significantly in the UK,” stated Anthony Rook, geographical sales manager at H.B. Fuller.

“What we need to see is a broadening out of our customer base and that’s what we believe Kenyons will deliver. We are very happy to have them on board and we are looking forward to many years of success and growth.”

The distribution deal means Kenyon Group has access to a new range of Rakoll adhesives. A versatile product range that is used for a variety of applications, such as in the woodworking, furniture, caravan, insulation, mattress, window, and door markets
