Greif expands product range in UK

Greif, a global leader in industrial packaging products and services, has announced the introduction of a new line of speciality steel and stainless steel drum types at its Burton upon Trent plant in the UK.

The UK facility has a long history of producing UN and non-UN stainless steel drums. This product line has now been expanded to include both tight head and open head drums in sizes ranging from five litres to 250 litres capacities.

The expanded product line means Greif can better serve customers in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, flavours and fragrance industries which demand stringent packaging requirements, and underlines Greif’s ongoing commitment to its customers in these markets.

Tim Higham, speciality sales manager at Greif UK explained: “We are constantly seeking new ways to meet customers’ expectations and market demand which is what has led us to expand our range.

“Our stainless steel drums are a high integrity option for the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries,” he continued. “Stainless steel offers a high level of chemical resistance and can provide a flawlessly pure and sanitary performance.”

Greif holds a prominent position within the industrial packaging industry in the UK. The facility in Burton upon Trent has been involved in drum making since the early 1900s. It has a highly engaged and skilled work force of 60 employees.
