The EC and US authorities have approved the proposed acquisition of American owned Flint Ink by European based XSYS Print Solutions and the subsequent merger of the two companies (see August issue). The acquisition and merger will create a group with 8,000 employees and combined revenues of approximately €2.1 billion ($2.6 billion). The deal is expected to close at the end of September.
