Avery Dennison has expanded the Fasson portfolio of selfadhesive wine labelling materials - there is now a choice of 45 face materials, both film and paper, for both traditional and modern labels, supported by a 'speciality' service platform for converters.
Jeroen Diderich, vp, supply chain operations, explains: “Our new wine label ‘pathway’ through our Express by Fasson Specialty service platform makes it possible for wine producers to specify bespoke label materials for their bottles. Twenty-eight made to order Fasson labelling constructions are offered to wine label converters for delivery within 48 hours ex works.
“A great new option is that, for our standard wine label products, 24-48 hours ex works delivery is now possible through the Fasson Exact service, which gives converters exact width, ready to print reels. We have also added 11 extra face materials to this portfolio.”
He continues: “These two service options, especially for the wine market, can represent real savings in time, material waste, and inventory costs for label converters.'
Special demands made of label adhesives in this market are also covered by the Fasson range. The new S2030 dedicated general purpose product complements the two established adhesive options: Fasson S2047 hotmelt for 'difficult' surfaces, and the premium 'wash-off' grade, Fasson WLA.
Says Jeroen Diderich: 'Fasson S2030 is another opportunity for converters to save on inventory items, simplify ordering routines, and avoid unnecessary over specification. It's a versatile permanent acrylic adhesive which offers high speed conversion and dispensing, coupled with the good mandrel performance required for bottles and good 'ice bucket' characteristics.”
