Drupa 2008 to provide workshops on topical issues

Following a successful launch during drupa 2004, the German Printing and Media Industries Federation (bvdm), will once again provide ‘Compass Sessions’ at drupa 2008.

The two-hour workshops consisting of four half hour speeches will take place daily from 9-11am and will focus on topical technological issues and new lines of business models in printing industry.

However, the organizers have reduced the total number of topics from 14 during drupa 2004 to seven this year. One of the highlights of this year’s sessions is the panel on printed electronics, which also encompasses RFID.

The sessions will be held in English and German with simultaneous translations. The detailed schedule is as follows:

7th June Digital Printing

9th June Digital Workflow

The Compass Sessions are being organized by the Print & Media Forum and will be held at Congress Center Ost.
