The latest step in the international expansion strategy of coated films specialist Derprosa is the Spanish company's first USA warehouse. Derprosa Speciality Films, in Newark, New Jersey, joins the established facilities in France, Italy, Germany, the UK and Mexico.
The new warehouse enables Derprosa to serve US customers directly, allowing them to acquire small quantities of film in the country without the need to import material they might need from Spain, as was previously the case. The New Jersey location also allows the company to offer a faster service in the US, where it has experienced growing demand from the luxury packaging sector (specifically luxury folding cartons), digital printing, and the labelling sector.
Derprosa's product range includes films with anti-bacterial properties, and special metallised films for digital printing, as well as its Elegance films with various colours and special top coatings that can be printed and finished with different technologies, for applications such as boxes and cartons, labels, and POS display.
