Cumberland Packaging Buys AG/CAD DYSS Cutting Table
As one of the UK's top five independent sheet plants, Cumberland Packaging has now invested in a die cutting table from AG/CAD to reduce its lead times and increase its design capabilities.
The Essex manufacturer of corrugated cartons and boxes acquired its first AG/CAD cutting table over 12 years ago, so when it came to upgrading its plant list, the company opted for another machine from AG/CAD. Explaining why, Cumberland Packaging's Managing Director, Mr John Watson says: "Over 20 years ago we had a plotting machine, then 12 years ago we stepped up to our first cutting table, which enabled us to design with AG/CAD's KASEMAKE CAD software. The machine has served us well, so when it came to modernising our equipment, we opted for the latest DYSS machine from AG/CAD."
The purchase of the DYSS X7 Multi-head machine is instantly delivering sample and prototype lead-time reductions of 50%, a huge benefit for the internal sales team and potential customers alike. Additionally, foam inserts manufactured for some packaging formats are processed 80% faster with the new DYSS X7.
