UK based slitter rewinder manufacturer Ashe Converting Equipment has opened a new facility in the USA. The 38,000ft2 site at Brattleboro, Vermont, will have a demonstration capability and handle sales, service and spares, as well as carrying out light assembly work.
At CMM, Ashe managing directory John Goddbold told Converting Today: “We are moving ahead on many fronts and this is a great opportunity for us. We are here to expand our US sales and with our developing range of machines, we could eventually use the new facility for manufacture.”
Ashe has installed some 200 machines in the US so far, many of them during the last couple of years. “There are signs of the market picking up, especially smaller companies starting to do things in new areas,” John Goddbold remarked.
