Newly formed company Apollo Sheeters has acquired from Bobst Group the sheeting machinery business previously operated by Atlas Converting Equipment, under the Apollo trade name. Apollo Sheeters will continue production at the same location, adjacent to Atlas Converting Equipment, under the management of Michael Wilkinson. The entire staff of the new company previous worked in the Apollo sheeter business.
Bobst and Apollo say there will be no disruption to existing or future customers, and Apollo will work closely with Bobst’s global sales network, particularly in the folding carton business.
The ownership of Apollo is now under the control of Christopher Rogers, who founded Atlas Converting Equipment in 1976 and was its chairman and ceo for 20 years. He originally created the sheeters business of Atlas through the acquisition of the Meltog sheeter business in 1996.
