Read all about it digitally

2 August 2006

There's so much to shout about this month that I just don't know where to start. So why not at home! This month you can read the first digital issue of Converting Today.

Over the past two years Converting Today staff have been developing our news website (www.convertingtoday.co.uk). Many of you - with more joining every day I know - visit the page to read the latest news. We change it every day and of course it has the immediacy we cannot produce in a monthly magazine. The archives also allow you to access and research companies, technology and business via a simple search engine process. And the newly updated Buyers' Guide helps find equipment and materials producers and their contact details.

However, the printed magazine provides the best of the news selected from the site each month. Perhaps more importantly, it publishes the easy to read features on important advances in technology (the Sun/Comexi development of EB inks on a CI flexo press is a perfect example this month), profiles of converters, and reviews of current technology and equipment. We also provide exhibition previews to help readers plan their visits to shows. This month it is the turn of Labelexpo, Chicago.

Although up until now we have loaded the magazine stories on the website after publication, we haven't reproduced the great page designed for the easy read or the adverts you see in Converting Today. Now, by registering on the website for the digital version (see the reminder on the opposite page) you can read the complete digitally reproduced magazine page by page on your screen - there is even a natty tool which simulates the turning of a page.

But the feature I really like is that if something catches your eye and you want more information you simply click on the website address at the end of the article or advertisement and you'll go straight to the relevant website.

If you are based outside the UK it is the sure-fire way to get the magazine as soon as it is published and not have to wait for it to drop through your letterbox.

So register now. Welcome to the digital world of Converting Today!
