Aprion into Scitex

Digital press specialists Scitex Vision and Aprion Digital have merged. The combined business will operate under the name Scitex Vision, while the Aprion name will be used for its piezo drop-on-demand technology (previously called Magic). Products using this technology will carry a "Powered by Aprion" logo.

Scitex Vision's headquarters will be the former Aprion premises in Netanya, Israel. The new company is led by Dov Ofer, president and ceo, with Domingo Nieves as president Scitex Vision Europe and Tim Weeldreyer, president Scitex Vision America. Former Aprion chairman Ken Levy, and Dr Miki Nagler, formerly president and ceo, will serve on the new board as chairman and vice chairman, respectively.

Dov Ofer says: "We will continue to promote all products and services from both companies. We fully expect to continue our relationships smoothly with our suppliers, dealers and distribution partners."

Scitex Vision has over 500 employees worldwide.
