Zip bag opportunities opened up

25 October 2004

Lemo claims that its new CAPmat-Slider bag making machine will cut downtime by up to 25 per cent when changing between the production of standard side weld bags and other bag formats. The company says this new technology makes it "easier than ever" to incorporate Zip-Pak's QuickZipTM Slider zippers directly onto a wise range of LDPE bag types.

"We were eager to introduce our new machine with Zip-Pak technology because it combines the high quality resealability and cost effectiveness our customers demand," says Sabine Zanders, Lemo's regional sales and marketing manager. "Also, with Zip-Pak's new European production facility in Winschoten, The Netherlands, European customers will be able to obtain the materials they need with great efficiency."

Adds Robert Hogan, director of sales and marketing at Zip-Pak: "Through key partnerships with OEMs like Lemo, more brands around the world will be able to efficiently add the benefits of consumer preferred resealable packaging to their products".

In addition to special change-over modules that allow users to quickly and easily produce various bag types on a single machine, the new machine also features a digital processing system that stores data for repeat orders. A built-in modem allows technicians to gain remote access to the machine.
