Wrinkle-free web spreading at ICE

1 November 2005

At ICE 2005 Mink-Bürsten (hall 1, stand 1-W19) will display its Mink web spreader brush rolls. These are claimed to offer a dependable – and affordable - solution to the problem wrinkling caused by systems for guiding the movement of plastics films and webs. The brushes have bristles inclined at a precisely determined angle to push out on the film from the middle, ensuring that it stays smooth.

The spreader brush rolls can be easily installed at every critical point in a system and, the company states, "because they are so inexpensive, it even pays to use them as a replacement for pinch rolls". The freely turning roller brushes, mounted on ball bearings, are said to rotate much more easily than other types of spreader rolls.

The spreader rolls can be delivered ready to install within a few days, according to the customer's specifications. Mink says it has supplied over 500 rolls to satisfied customers in a year.
