The World Star 2005 competition produced 146 winners, chosen by the jury during the World Packaging Organisation meeting in Prague, on October 13. Five of the entries were also nominated for President's Award for special qualities in their packaging solution. The winners will be announced at the WorldStar award ceremony in Beijing, on April 19, 2006.
Hosted by Czech Packaging Association SYBA, the three-day meeting in Prague also included visits to manufacturers Thimm Obaly and Obchodni Tiskarny, and a board meeting where Keith A Pearson, from the Institute of Packaging South Africa, was elected as WPO president, to succeed Dr Alexis Stassinopoulos from April, 2006.
