Bobst Group companies, Rapidex and Martin, have combined expertise to develop a jumbo flexo folder gluer for the production of large corrugated boxes.
Said to be the world’s biggest installation, the new RapidSet Jumbo has been specifically designed for a major European corrugated board company which converts heavy triple wall board and produces added value displays. This 5.5 m width line is equipped with a new feeder, vacuum sheet transfer on full width, four fixed flexo print units, full automatic folding unit, squaring, stitching, and taping systems. “It offers twice shorter make-ready time compared to conventional machines,” says the company.
