Widest Doctor from Stanford

24 July 2008

Stanford, now a division of Barry-Wehmiller’s Accraply business, has introduced its widest web width reversible Doctor Machine. The 1.65m web width model has a one metre unwind and rewind diameter capability, and a top speed of 600 m/min.

With a tension range of 48-175 N/m, the machine is claimed to be capable of running materials from thin films to paper and multi-layer laminates. With optional razor or shear trimming available, as well as a facility for overhead print inspection, the machine is claimed to be exceptionally versatile. A notable feature is the newly designed linear rider rolls, said to offer fully programmable and constant pressure throughout roll build-up.

Stanford manufactures a range of Doctor Machines, duplex differential slitter rewinders, as well as finishing equipment for the shrink sleeve label market.
