What a touching relief

12 November 2003

A UV screen coating formulation that provides a tactile feel and enhanced graphics to labels has been developed by Pulse Roll Label Products. The IN-Relief process was used by The Label Studio, of Leicester, UK, for the relaunch of Venom, an alcoholic mixer drink, to achieve a 3D, raised image effect label.

The IN-Relief coating is UV screen applied, either flatbed or rotary. In addition to novelty effects to enhance packaging, it can be used to apply Braille triangles or dots. The coating can be slightly tinted to give additional impact on white substrates.
