Spanish cartonboard converter Cartonajes Santorroman reports increased efficiency, reduced waste and improved stock control from its recently installed Colorsat Compact ink dispensing system from GSE.
“The Colorsat Compact has integrated into our workflow very easily,” states Jesús Peréz Osma, Cartonajes Santorroman Technical Director. “It prepares ink formulas rapidly and has reduced ink wastage to a minimum.”
The gravimetric ink dispensing system automates the mixing process to ensure controlled, repeatable spot-colour consistency, on demand. Recipe preparation is said to be clean, fast and waste-free with a dispensing accuracy of 1g for batches up to 25 kg. Any excess ink remaining after a print run can be easily reused, located and retrieved from stock.
