The new Business VantagePoint Release 8.5 for packaging manufacturing companies includes an updated ‘look and feel’ throughout the software, with redesigned user entry screens to make the system more user friendly. Most screens will have the same familiar tab sequence and functionality, but with “a more streamlined easier-to-read look”, along with new designated entry and read-only fields.
One of the major improvements is the re-designed Estimating Module. This enables estimating of assembled and unassembled sets, as well as creation of multiple estimate variations. Now users can create estimates with multiple quantity calculations as well as with a variety of different manufacturing materials and optional routings. The new module can calculate the differences in cost between different routings and machines.
