Vacuumatic takes on new look

21 August 2006

Following a change of ownership, UK based paper counting specialist Vacuumatic has unveiled a new blueprint for growth. The company, now headed by industry entrepreneur Stephen Boyd, is planning a “dynamic sales drive” in commercial print markets in coming months – spearheaded by new sales and marketing director Justin Lewis, a former international manager at Heidelberg.

“Vacuumatic has a 55-year pedigree in the paper counting and batching equipment business, says Justin Lewis. “We have world class engineering and manufacturing talent and the new board believes the company is uniquely placed to exploit that expertise and experience across new areas of opportunity in the global marketplace.”

He continues: “We are already significant leaders in the security sector, where we have product presence in almost every company in the world that prints banknotes. Now we are embarking on a new pro-active sales and marketing campaign, embracing our German and US subsidiaries and our 75-strong worldwide distributor network. Our overarching mission is to create more awareness around our solutions in the general print arena. Our research shows there are many thousands of commercial and industrial packaging printers worldwide who could benefit from Vacuumatic products.”

The company, which boasts ‘100% accurate counting and batching’, pioneered both the development of pin and blade counting since its inception over years ago, and disc technology – which can count banknotes at up to 10,000/min.

Justin Lewis boasts: “The simple fact is that while our competitors can count, we’ve counted for longer and we supply leading edge machinery to more security paper mills and banknote production facilities than anyone else. We are also the only player in the field offering three solutions: pin and blade, disc and optical.”
