IST (UK) had great success at this year's EFTA print awards, taking the Gold for "UV Lamp Development" with its BLK-5 curing system.
Developed specifically for web printing applications, the BLK -5 is claimed to offer “highest process speed and optimal energy efficiency” without compromising print quality. Two of the new units with 180 W/cm lamps) can now produce the same curing results as previously achieved by three BLK -2 lamp units with 200 W/cm lamps, the company states.
The BLK-5 was also awarded a certificate of "energy minimised UV printing" during drupa.
