UV system simplifies switching

7 September 2011

GEW will feature the latest version of its VCP UV lamphead on stand 6H36 at Labelexpo Europe this month. The VCP will be shown with an infra-red (IR) cassette system for water-based inks.

The GEW IR cassette system is designed to simplify the process when certain printing presses need re-webbing when switching between water-based and UV printing – and, in some cases, removing the hot air dryers. It simply slides into the lamp housing in place of the UV cassette, and the GEW touchscreen automatically recognises if it is UV or IR.

A new stand-alone e-Brick electronic power supply system will also be exhibited for the first time. It is claimed to be the smallest available on the market for multi-UV lamp applications.

GEW’s stand at Labelexpo Europe 2011 is H36, in Hall 6.
