UV inkjet

9 January 2006

New from AdPhos for inkjet applications, the PowerCube is said to provide all the advantages of UV curing in one small, easy to use system.

The compact, lightweight unit can be mounted on the inkjet carriage, either side of the drop on demand engine. A high power option with on/off switching at the end of each transverse generates a full width cure, whilst the lower power can be used for pinning the ink, providing a good key, with the final cure provided by an AdPhos wide cure system up to and beyond two metres in width.

Measuring just 60 x 60 x 60mm, with small diameter air ducting carrying the energy cable, the PowerCube is said to be compact, lightweight and easily installed. Its high power UV irradiation, equivalent to 360W/cm, is infinitely variable down to very low power levels and the reflector design allows for stacking to produce wider cure widths.
