Collano and UV lamp specialist Heraeus have collaborated to develop a novel curing solution for UV
curable pressure-sensitive (PS) hotmelt adhesives that "can yield 85% energy savings over conventional methods".
The Heraeus Soluva UVC-Hotmelt Modules are claimed to have an exceptionally long service life of 10,000 hours, saving on costly maintenance and replacements. Collano's eco-friendly, UV curable PS hotmelt adhesives are solventless, adhere to a wide range of substrates and are suitable for self-adhesive coatings on heat-sensitive materials.
Collano's high-tech coater boasts medium pressure UV lamps and was recently equipped with Soluva UVC-Hotmelt Modules, making an ideal platform for pilot coating and application tests.
