UPM has invested $40M in additional coating and finishing capacity for the Raflatac pressure sensitive labelstock production facility in Fletcher, North Carolina. Main part of the investment is a second coating line, which will focus especially on the fast growing film market. Production is due to start during the fourth quarter of 2005.
Raflatac's US operations manufacture pressure sensitive labelstock for product and information labelling. The company employs 270 people in the USA and its sales in North America last year were $150M.
