Tullis Russell’ new trucard x2 range of heavyweight laminated coated and uncoated SBS boards is claimed to offer remarkable stiffness and bulk. It is available in standard trucard 2 gloss and in uncoated trucard 0 matt in weights from 450-780 g/m².
Arnaud Jouvance, packaging sector manager at Tullis Russell, says: “The x2 products are based on the same twin-wire base construction as the rest of the trucard range to guarantee exceptional bulk, stiffness and stability. This, combined with double-blade coating on the coated range and a uniform bright-white surface finish on the uncoated version, results in excellent printability and conversion characteristics.”
The new product is said to be ideal for applications needing heavyweight premium packaging board, such as premium spirits, display boxes, heavy glass perfume bottles and electronic goods.
