Self-adhesive labels’ global trade association FINAT has teamed up with the Turkish Label Association (TLA) to stage its 2009 Congress in Antalya and celebrate the rapid expansion of the local organisation.
The TLA was founded in 1998 with two members which had grown to 12 by 2007. Since then membership has soared to 51. Association president Aydin Okay vows: “Our aim is 75 members by the time of the congress in Antalya”.
The Turkish organisers have also set a target of attracting 1,000 delegates - which would make it the biggest FINAT Congress ever.
The FINAT event is scheduled for June 10 and 13, 2009.
