A Drent Goebel VSOP offset press ordered by Triflex Productions is thought to be the first of its type in the UK flexible packaging field. It will be installed in the company's new purpose built food packaging facility in Cheriton during September.
The VSOP is said to provide a very flexible sleeve based production platform that enables frequent repeat length changes "without the cost and inconvenience of full cassette changes". The machine for Triflex will have a web width of 850mm, with seven offset printing units and one flexo unit.
