Treofan completes BOPP project

27 November 2007

The expansion of Treofan`s production facilities at Zacapu in Mexico was completed two weeks ahead of schedule, just 15 months after the project start. The new 8.2m BOPP line supplied by Brückner is producing speciality multilayer films for flexible packaging and label applications. Its production speed of 525m/min ensures a high throughput and an annual capacity of 36,500 ton.

In addition to the high speed BOPP line, Brückner also supplied a complete turnkey package for the entire production plant, including roll handling systems, primary and secondary slitters, recycling systems, and packaging and storage facilities.

Treofan México`s manufacturing director Allan Crighton comments: “This investment is a very important step in our strategy for growth. The co-operation between Treofan and Brückner project teams has been fantastic and has allowed us to bring the new plant on stream ahead of challenging deadline we set in June last year.”
