Italian clear packaging supplier Scatolificio Cristina has appointed Professional Packaging Services as its exclusive UK partner, formalizing a long working relationship between the companies.
Cristina sales director Maurizio Galimberti comments: "We have worked with PPS in the UK now for over 10 years. This agreement will result in the two companies working even closer together and that has to be a benefit for our mutual clients." MD of PPS Simon Bell adds: "The synergy of the two companies is perfect and the confirmation of this agreement has strengthened our European offering. Cristina's business, like ours, is growing steadily through constant investment in technology, personnel and equipment, and we are keen to move our relationship forward in coming years."
At its 7,000m2 production facility near Milan, Cristina offers high frequency die cutting, foil blocking in silver, gold and holographic, silk screen and litho printing, and the ability to handle high precision and large print runs. Turnover in 2004 was €11M. Leeds based PPS is said to be the UK's largest supplier of transparent folding cartons, with a turnover of more than £8M last year.
