Amcor Flexibles has completed its acquisition of Rexam Healthcare Flexibles, making Amcor the global leader in flexible packaging for the healthcare industry, with a 15 per cent share of sales.
Amcor ceo Graham James says: "The 10 former Rexam plants are an excellent strategic fit and complement our existing six healthcare sites both in terms of geography and product range. Together, we are able to provide our healthcare customers with an unrivalled choice of products, technologies, manufacturing options and expertise to meet their current and future needs - whatever the location."
Amcor now operates specialist healthcare packaging plants in the US, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Brazil, France, UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium and Sweden.
