Developer of the Label Traxx print business management software for flexo narrow web label printers and converters Tailored Solutions has joined the CIP4 consortium, co-ordinates the implementation of JDF and JMF software protocols in the printing industry.
Tailored Solutions president Ken Meinhardt says: “The JDF and JMF software protocols developed by CIP4 are fast becoming the communication standards for the entire printing industry. The protocols initially found application in the offset area, and we are pleased to spearhead efforts to bring these operating efficiencies to label printers and converters in the flexo market. Our efforts will enable flexo manufacturers to establish two-way communications between Label Traxx and popular prepress equipment.”
