Swiss support converting show

10 February 2003

Polytype and BMB are among a strong contingent of Swiss equipment suppliers who will be showing at ICE 2003, the International Converting Exhibition, in Munich, November 18-20.

Says Polytype sales and marketing manager Ernst Bachmann: "We have always supported the ICE philosophy. We feel the time has come for us to realise the vision we share with many other European converters and converting industry suppliers - to have our own focused, dedicated event for paper, film and foil converting technology."

BMB md Ernst Meier confirms: "The decision for me today is as simple as it was five years ago when I made a firm commitment to participate at the first ICE. It is the right show for BMB and has developed favourably in terms of market and technology focus."

Slitting and rewinding specialists Faes and Senntech say they are also looking forward to the show. Jürg Messerli, Faes sales and marketing manager, says: "We launched the Quadro at ICE '99 with great success. We plan to take a machine to Munich and are confident we will see many customers there". Senntech ceo Hans Timell agrees: "I will definitely show a machine on my stand in Munich next November."

OEM supplier Schlumpf offers a different perspective. CEO Hans Peter Schlumpf observes: "ICE has certainly been a refreshing addition to the exhibition scene, we like its focus and it´s good value."
