Sweeter board for confectionery

Stora Enso Consumer Boards has upgraded its Performa CTMP product family to offer improved product features that support confectionery packaging design. An "even whiter and brighter" board surface is said to ensure optimal colour reproduction and a smooth surface ideal for chocolate packages.

By using Performa CTMP board, 10-20 per cent lower grammages can be applied compared with conventional SBS boards - without compromising strength, convertibility or any other key performance factor. Additional benefits include high whiteness and brightness.

Kraft Foods is one of the first major confectionery manufacturers to switch to the new board, for its Aladdin and Paradis brands in the Scandinavian market.
