At LabelExpo Europe, Munksjö - the speciality paper company created by the combination of Munksjö AB and Ahlstrom's Label and Processing business - will introduce Acti-V Leaf 50g/m², a new lightweight release paper said to have superior mechanical characteristics, for production of thinner and lighter PSA labelstock laminates.
With a tensile strength comparable to much heavier standard release papers, Acti-V Leaf will enable converters to use less material, improve efficiency and sustainability, according to Munksjö. It also features the Acti-V technology, said to allow a "revolutionary" silicone anchorage and significant saving on energy and catalyst cost in the silicone formulations.
Also during LabelExpo Europe, Munksjö will present its Full Circle recycling programme for paper release liner that offers label end-users collection of paper liner waste at no cost, for recycling into speciality papers. Paper liner can be collected in Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and The Netherlands.
