Stork's solid state

19 November 2003

Stork Materials Technology claims its new HQP laser engraving technology will produce durable, easy to clean, high line screen, high volume, process printing anilox rolls. Unlike a conventional CO2 laser, the HQP does not consume gasses, nor does it use a lamp like the YAGlaser. Instead, it uses a solid state media to generate the laser, which is said to make it extremely stable and consistent and capable of engraving line screens up to 2,300lpi with very hard and smooth cell walls. It is also said to be able to achieve very high volumes on high lpi engravings, making it ideal for engraving process printing anilox rolls.
