Stork opens R&D centre

31 July 2006

The Stork Prints Group has opened a 2,300m² Technology Centre at its headquarters in Boxmeer, The Netherlands. The new facility houses five rotary screen printing lines for label printers, converters, textile manufacturers and industrial coaters to test new ideas and applications without having to lose production time at their own sites. It will also enable Stork to conduct its own trials, with support from industry partners, to make the process yet more competitive.

RotaMesh and SpecialScreen cylinders will be available for customers will to test the performance of the press with their chosen inks, pastes and substrates, supported by Stork’s technical engineers, in strictest confidence.

Bespoke training programmes in rotary screen printing will also be held at the new facility. Lasting between one and three days, these will include both practical prepress and on-press workshops, as well as courses in theory..
