MPS has supplied an 8-colour EF flexo press to Stampiton Labels, the largest dairy label producer in the UK.
With a web width of 520mm, the new press will increase production capacity in the company's core business area, milk labels. It is equipped with the MPS APC Advanced automation extension package, which includes double servo positioning motors for print sleeves and material thickness settings.
Perfect register and waste reduction performance were key elements for Stampiton in selecting its first MPS press. The company's labels are printed on a wide range of materials, and the press must be able to hold register and diecut at very high print speeds on these wide ranging substrates. Stampiton carries out more than 1,300 lines for next day delivery. It also has an in-house coating facility for hotmelt and water based acrylic adhesive laminates.
