SSB and Südpack Medica in films deal

Südpack Medica ad pharma and biotech supplier Sartorius Stedim Biotech (SSB) are to co-operate in the development, manufacture and supply of polymer plastics films for the biopharmaceutical market.

As part of the10-ear trategic partnership, Südpack will produce plastics film materials for SSB to be employed in the manufacture of single-use bags and systems for cell cultivation, transportation and storage of biopharmaceutical liquids.

The companies will also collaborate on the development of novel multi-layer films with improved product characteristics, for applications such as single-use bioreactors. The first product innovations from this co-operation are expected in approximately one year.
