SJA Film Technologies has invested in a purpose built 24-head spooling machine. Designed and specified in close partnership with Double R Controls. It is the Accrington, UK, company’s second spooler from this supplier.
“During the 18 months since we purchased our current 12-head spooler from Double R, we have gained a great deal of experience and have been able to bring this knowledge to the design of the new build 24-head spooler,” comments director Alan Cox. “We firmly believe that there are great benefits to be gained by transferring to the spooling methodology from conventional single-feed pancake delivery.
“The extensive range of substrates we are able to convert on our equipment opens up our technology to a vast array of potential new markets, including extensible/non extensible and adhesive/non adhesive in widths from 2-32mm. This will be our major focus throughout 2009 with our plans to invest again in further equipment over the coming three years.”
