Special purpose systems

Label converting equipment specialist Spilker recently launched the Speedcut and Lasercut flexible die series for cutting a wide range of label materials with “maximum cutting quality”. Job changes from paper to film and back can be made easily without changing the die, it is claimed. The new one-piece dies are available in sizes up to 800 mm x 1,000 mm.

The company also supplies special tools such as the Sonic-line, a system for making very small cuts from the web with a controlled removal of the cut-out parts; or the Flexbase and Variabase adjustable counter pressure cylinders, where the undercut can be adjusted in very small increments.

Another development is SMART - Spilker Machine and Rotary Technology - which offers modular machine concepts for problem solving in special applications.
