Compared with solvent adhesives, UPM Raflatac’s new RC 15’s UV acrylic formulation adhesive for durables labelling is said to offer the same or better adhesive performance on polar surfaces with high surface energy – smooth metals, glass, ABS plastics, polycarbonate and polyester.
Excellent heat and chemical resistance ensure that the printed information stays firmly in place for the lifecycle of the labelled product, and high internal strength gives a low bleed-tendency compared with high coat-weight solvent adhesives. This reduces maintenance stops and allows high speed conversion, says UPM Raflatac.
RC 15 is available in UL-approved combinations and with a versatile range of durable face materials through the Small Roll Service that provides easy access to single rolls in a choice of widths and minimum order quantities starting at less than 100 m².
