In Germany, Maria Soell has commissioned a new Kroenert film laminating line intended to increase the company's turnover by 50 per cent. With a production width of 1,400mm and top speed of 450m/min, it combines solvent based and solvent-free lamination technologies to allow manufacture of flexible packaging for various applications. A water based gluing capability is also available.
The company has also invested in an automatic extrusion die and dampening system to boost its silicone paper production.
