Slower growth for self adhesives

The combined markets for self adhesive labelstock in North and South America are the subject of a new market study from AWA Alexander Watson Associates.

In North America, the last 12-18 months have seen a dramatic slowdown in growth, and an equally dramatic increase in margin pressures, says AWA. Consolidation is occurring throughout the value chain, and material suppliers and self adhesive laminators are redefining their value propositions as a consequence of additional pressure on margins and difficulties in passing on price increases. Globalization is also having a profound effect on North America.
