Silvergate gets £9 million capacity boost

Silvergate Plastics, of Wrexham in North Wales recently completed operational improvements at a cost of £50,000, to boost manufacturing capacity by 33% to a sales value of £9 million.

The so-called ‘big system’ change included reduction of rework by 65%, sophisticated overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) monitoring using Silvergate’s bespoke software, and better mixing procedures.

Raw material storekeeping and pigment stock management systems were improved.
